Question
Mr Livshits,

This is another question I have for you regarding a 2 Pfenning coin.
It's date is 1875 and is in very fine condition.  Warm brown color.  Duetsches Reich

Thank you!

Answer
Hi again Debbi,
In circulated condition they are worth a couple of dollars. There are different mint marks which determine if you have a lower or higher mintage coin. However it will not make a significant difference in value for this condition.
The mint marks are a pair of identical letters below each of the the eagle's talons.
Thanks again for the question! =)

Expertise

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.
