I acquire a great medal; Germany 1912, silver, oval 38x52mm without the loop. Obverse, Alfred Krupp bust, Reverse; standing metal worker with sword. I want to know how rare and value it is. Thanks.

Hi again Ramon,
This medal is actually fairly common. It should also be marked with "990" on the edge, which is the silver purity.
Generally they sell for $40-$50 on eBay, up to $75 over in Europe at private auctions. The most I have ever seen one sell for was $100 and that was because it came with the original presentation case.
Thanks for the question! =)

My specialty is world coins from the 18th to 20th centuries, primarily non-US foreign coins and related areas such as errors and exonumia (tokens, medals, etc.). I can answer questions relating to identification, grading, selling, preservation and evaluation of such items. In addition to catalog value, I can give you the practical market value and trends for specific types of coins. I will also take questions regarding counterfeits (both modern and antique) and on how to identify them. I am NOT knowledgeable in paper money/banknotes, ancient or "shipwreck" coins. Thank you.
