Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Half minted penny/copper back/silver inside

We found a half minted penny that is copper on the back or tails side of the coin the inside is silver. Isay inside because it appears to have been minted around a 1984 1/2 Fr which is also silver and fit tightly inside the penny so it looked as if 2 coins were stuck together. However when we separated them that was what we were left with. A hollowed out half minted penny and a whole intact 1/2 Fr coin. Have you ever come across anything like this and would you know the values.

Theresa Fern Looney and Robert McPeek:

Your coin is a "magic coin" made up of two different coins, from different countries, and used to trick people. It is an interesting conversation piece, and they usually sell for a few dollars. It has no added numismatic value.

It is impossible for a coin like this to have been made, as the dies from the two coins and their corresponding alignment features are different sizes.

You may want to check Ebay listings under coins in the error category (where they are sometimes listed) to see what these two-country coins are going for.
