Ron,
Hello, I came across this 64 quarter and it looks like another date was also on this coin. Around the 9 looks like another number and also around the 4 the same way. In the one picture it looks like a one and nine in between the date of 1964.

I sort of see a curved line that appears struck in rather than raised. It could be a minor clash or from object on the die surface when the coin was struck. At best, it would be a minor error. Coin likely worth more as silver.

Worked Saturdays at Huntington Beach Coin Exchange 1980-1999. Had table and sold coins at a number of coin and gun shows in So CA, AZ and NV. Sell coins, tokens and currency on Facebook. Past "Errorscope" Editor. Presently CONECA Examiner.
