Question
Joe, I had a 2nd part to my question which I forgot to ask. If I should decide to get back into novice coin collecting as I did years ago, what is the best all-inclusive publication to determine true values of my coins? Thanks again.

Answer
The Guidebook to US Coins (REDBOOK) will tell you what the projected retail price is.  However, coins usually trade for about 25% off of that.  Bear in mind that a 2013 edition is printed in 2012.  Hence if gold or silver rise or fall, or if collector demand increases or falls, those #'s will not be accurate.

Joe
