Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Larins

What is the value of a Larin in Portuguese era,at present?

The conversion was 5 Larins to the Spanish piece of 8
Weight about 5.5 grams of Silver
In the Dutch Era it was 9.5 Stuivers

About 10 years ago I can remember buying few in Kandy for lkRs1750/- each
I suspect they must be worth of order lkRs5000 now in Sri Lanka

In more detail the impression on the coin is important

Price is based on Supply and Demand.
Since coins over 100 years can't legally be taken out of Lanka
the local and Foreign numismatic markets are independent.

I have seen coins sell abroad for more then 10 times the price in Lanka.
I have many years ago purchased on eBay coins I could not get in Lanka
for even 10 times the price I paid, since none are available for sale.

I see one listed now on eBay in USA for US150 and has a bid.
