Hi dug this while detecting in Australia from at least 12 inches

Answer
Hello,

This is a replica of an 8 Escudos gold Spanish coin that was likely made from a mold of a real one. Here is a link to a pic of a real one - https://www.sixbid.com/browse.html?auction=384&category=7475&lot=351997

Hard to believe this one spent anytime underground by the looks of it.
