Question
I have a 1950 20 Francs coin. On the front it has a lady's head  with a name Rebublique Francaise/signature Georges Guirand. The back has a picture of a chicken with feathers  wording Liberte Egalite Fraternite. Could you tell me what it would be worth in US currency? Any information will be appreciated. Thank you.

Answer
Hi Karen,

This is a very common coin - back when France used Francs this was worth about 3 cents. They now use the Euro so this has no monetary value. They made many millions of these so they do not have any collector value.

We sell these in our common bins by the pound - if you did the math this one would cost about 2 cents.
