Hi, I came across a Silver Rider (Ducaton) of 1775, but I'm not sure if its real or a replica. Can one of the experts pls help me?

Answer
Hello Mossie,

It is difficult to determine if this coin is genuine from just photos.

If you compare yours to this certified one - http://www.stacksbowers.com/BrowseAuctions/LotDetail.aspx?AuctionID=6012&Lot=208

You will note some discrepancies - If I were to buy this coin I would want to get it certified first. If it is authentic the value would be about $400.
