Question
I have several Proof $5 Gold Pieces that I cant seem to find on ebay or any of the sites I have tried...They are in the velvet display box.  The inside top of the box has a red white and blue ribbon, the American Eagle Emblem and the words "World War II 50th Anniversary Coins...The coin is in a plastic display case...one side has "LIBERTY", a US Soldier and 1991  1995...The other side has United States Of America...a large "V" surrounded by wheat stems and 5 Dollars...I'm interested in a value range and any other information you may be able to provide...Thanks...Chuck

Answer
Hi Chuck,

Your coin is the $5 US gold commemorative, commemorating WWII.  Thats why it has the date 1991-1995.  They were struck in 1995 and 65,461 proofs were made by the US Mint.  They are worth around $150-200 each depending upon their condition.
