Question
Dear sir,
I have copper penny of 1943D, please can you tell how much it's worth of????

Answer
Hello, Lalit, if you have an authentic 1943D U.S. cent actually struck by the mint on a copper planchet, those have sold in the 5 figure range.  But, there are many "fakes" out there.  Check with a magnet -- if your piece is attracted by a magnet, it is steel and has been colored.  If it is not attracted by a magnet and the date doesn't look altered, you should have it examined by a coin expert.  In any event, please do nothing to clean or try to improve the look of your coin, all you can do is seriously take away value by doing that.  Jim Lawniczak
