Question
I have a coin set made in 1997. It comes in a cherry wood case and is # 515. it consist of a platinum eagle, a gold eagle, and a silver eagle. what is its value?

Answer
Hello Kenneth,

Are these the one ounce proof bullion coins? Other groups have distributed three coin sets like this.
Is yours from The United States Mint? Proof coins have a mirror like background and frosted raised design elements.
Does it say Impressions of Liberty anywhere? The Impressions of Liberty set sells from $1,900 to $2,300 in list prices. A total of 5000 sets were sold by the US Mint in 1997 for $1,499 and the metal prices have increased lately.
It value depends on if the set has coins of high grade or average and if it is professionally graded or in the original box. I have seen them get the highest prices at auction.

I see a set sold on ebay at eBay

I hope this information helps. If you need a dealer near you let me know.
