Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Coin appraisal

Question
My  Mother passed away recently and we found a small amount of coins but have no idea of there value. How do we find a reputable appraiser and what should we pay for an appraisal?

Thanks very much for your help

Answer
Hi Candy,
First off, are there a lot of coins and of what type?  Country of origin, denomination, date, etc.

If they are US coins, I can do that for you.  Mind you, without seeing them, I can only give you a range of their values not an exact value.

Send me a list if it isn't too big and I will go over it for you.
Otherwise, you can take the coins to a local dealer near you and present them as if you want to sell them and see what they offer.  Then contact me and I will see if it's a fair offer.
My direct email is  OMEGAPM@aol.com
