Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Collectible medallions

Question
Can you tell me where I can find information on a medallion collection minted by Osborne Mint and sold through J.C.Penny company in 1979-1980? It's called "American Indian Leaders Medallions" and is 48 solid sterling silver medallions.

I have tried several search engines with no results. I'm interested in value and marketability.

Thank you. sincerely, Alan Greer

Answer
Alan, I've not heard of it either.  Osborne Mint was a long standing private company that made medals and tokens for quite some time.  It started out in Cincinnati, but I think moved before 1980.  Try going to www.ebay.com and doing a search for "American Indian Leaders Medallions" or other variations and see if someone is selling a set.  Even if no one is selling today, try coming back every week or so to see if someone lists a set.  Have you tried the search on www.google.com?  I find that is most likely to give good hits toward the top.  Hope this helped, Jim Lawniczak
