Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Double stamped penny

Question
I have a penny that looks like it is 2000 but it is stamped on Lincolns head with a wheat penny back. Can it be worth anything?

Answer
Jenn, not sure I understand and can picture what you are describing.  If this is just a stamp that someone put on after the piece was minted, it is a noverly piece and worth essentially 1 cent.  I can't imagine how it can be anything but that as the U.S. mint would not have had any wheat ear dies around in 2000.  But you might want to show it to an expert in the very unlikely (but remotely possible) possibility that it is a mint error, which would be very valuable.  Hope this helped, Jim Lawniczak
