Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Encased Dime....

Question
I have a plastic encased dime with a label on it: American Museum of Atomic Energy - Neutron Irradiated".  Is this a valuable coin?

Answer
Bob, there was an article about this in the Coin World about 3 or 4 years ago.  These pieces are fairly common and tend to sell for $3 to $8 or so depending on who wants them.  Go to www.ebay.com and do a search for encased Neutron Irradiated or the like and you'll likely see one or two for sale.  Hope this helps, Jim Lawniczak
