Coin Collecting - Half Penny GEORGIVS VI Coin

Question
i have found this coin but it is only stamped on one side
is it real or a mistake?   thanks

Answer
Hi John, this is a bronze British half penny minted during the reign of King George VI (1936-52). Collector value of a coin depends on date, number minted and condition of a coin, including amount of wear, any dents, scratches or cleaning as well as collector demand for it. This one was someone's pocket piece and the other side has been worn smooth. Without a date it is virtually worthless. You might also try a library for a copy of the Standard Catalog of World Coins for pictures, values and lots more interesting info.
