Hello, Ken, your piece was probably hollowed out after it was made and the Mexican coin inserted inside.  The best place to try to find items like this is at www.ebay.com, the garage sale of the world.  Try various searches, such as: hollow Kennedy half; Kennedy half, mexican coin and similar searches that you would think a seller of a similar piece would use.  I think I may have heard of something like this before, Jim Lawniczak
