Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Indian head nickle

Question
I found a silver buffalo and Indian on the other side of a nickle but it has no date on it .It is nearly faded on the buffalo side and on the Indians feathers also about the same .No dates on this coin. Do you think it would be worth anything? Where do I go to find if it is valuable,what type of person  am I to look for?   Please help me .Thank You

Hi Hilda,

Your coin is a US Buffalo Nickel that was minted from 1913 to 1938.  The date is on the mound on the front of the coin but wears off after a lot of circulation.  A dateless nickel such as yours would sell for around $0.20 each and dealers sell them by the bagfull.
