Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Lincoln Speaks Pennies

Question
I have two pennies in a holder labeled "Lincoln Speaks".  The phrases are "War or Peace" and "Four Score and ...".   Are these valuable coins?
Thank You

Answer
Hello Bob,

These I have not seen but I have heard something about them. Made for the Gettysberg memorial or something. I do know they were altered after they left the mint. Therefore they have no numismatic rarity value added. They are more a novelity item.

Please feel free to ask the expert Jim Lawniczak at this site his speciality is encased coins (lucky pennies), which are advertising and event tokens.

Happy New Year and Good Luck
