Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Lincoln Steel Pennies

Question
Hi.  My dad has found a couple of 1943 steel Lincoln pennies.    All of these are in poor condition, meaning rusted over and what not.  I have tried to find some information online, but no luck.  Two of these pennies are different than the others.   One has an S under the 1943, and the other a D under the 1943.  I was wondering if you could help me in finding the value if any on these two coins.  Here are the pictures:

These are the pictures of the "S" penny.

These are the pictures of the "D" penny.

I am sorry for the poor quality of these pennies, I took them with my cell phone, since the camera would not zoom in far enough for you to actually see Lincoln without it becoming blurry.  If you need me to, I will try to capture better pictures.

Answer
Hi Junaid,

They made over a billion of these steel cents in 1943, so they're not really rare.

The "D" means the coin was made at the Denver Mint -- an "S" means it's from the San Francisco Mint -- no letter means it's from the main mint in Philadelphia.

In the condition shown, they are worth about 5 cents apiece.

Expertise

My strong familiarity with all U.S. Mint coins, extensive reference library, and close relationships with many other dealers allows me to identify just about any coin made in the USA. I receive regular updates to all the current price guides -- both wholesale & retail -- to provide accurate values. So, with a good description or pictures, I should be able to identify and value any U.S. coin you have.
