Question
I WOUL LIKE TO NOW A BUT  1943 METAL ONE CENT COIN

Answer
In 1943, US cents were made from zinc coated steel because copper was being used in the war effort.  They were produced at 3 US Mints:  Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco.  Massive quantities were produced and circulated.  Due to the high mintage, the collector value is low, perhaps 10-20 cents each.
However, when production was started, there remained a few of the copper blanks in the minting presses.  About 50 pieces are estimated to exist and their value ranges from $10,000 and up.
