Question -
Found 2001 D Dime that looks like an error was made in making Dime.  Copper middle looks like it's eroding.  Any help on this.

Thanks

Answer -
Hi David,

Your coin sounds like it is missing the outer clad layer.  The weight should be under the usual weight for this coin and it should be a nice copper color.  This is a type of error that needs to be seen to tell exactly what it is.

Answer
Hi David,

The best place would be to take it to Fresno Coin Galleries.  I believe they are on Blackstone but its been a few years since I've been there.  They could take a look at it and let you know if they think it is authentic.
