Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Mis-stamped coins

Question
Hello, I have a friend who has a coin that is a 1920 dime on the front and a wheat penny on the back. Could this be a real coin?
He also has a 1970 penny that is offset on both sides. Is it of any value?. Thank you.

Answer
Hi Randy,
The dime/penny could be real but I would need more information.  Is the penny side copper and the dime side silver?  Does it look like the dime was stamped on a penny?  Does it look like the penny was hollowed out and the dime placed inside of it?
You have to look at it closely and give me more info.

As for the offset cent, these are not that rare and are collectable.  Check ebay and you will see that some sell for a couple of dollars while other can go for hundreds.
Good luck!
