Question
My mom has a nickel that has the face stamped on both sides, the front is 1995 and the back is 2001,was wondeing if you ever seen one like it.  Thanks

Answer
Hi Jimmy,

It is most likely a magicians coin where two seperate coins were cut in half and pieced together.  There are no known errors like the one you described.  If you weigh the coin it will be underweight and a quick "drop test" would make a dull thud sound compared to a real coin.
