Question
Where would be the best online site to check to see if any of my old dimes, nickles, quarters, half, and dollars, are very valuable, without being lied to? Thanks Dale

Answer
Hello Dale,

I would hope you do trust this forum, most at this site do not have any interest in selling or buying your coins.
But for a large collection of miscellaneous U.S. coins there are more convent ways for you.

Although the values are usually inflated you can use any coin sites price guide. Take a look at this one.

Just looking through the dates and issue of any coin in any given grade will let you see what the more valuable ones are.

As an example look  at Washington Quarter in circulated grades.  Looking down any single grade column you see coins like the 1932-D and 1937-S  are more valuable than the coins above and below it in the same grade.

For a more accurate value, as a rule you must have a way to grade the coin. See http://www.pcgs.com/grades.chtml
