Question
I have a 1941 Lincoln Head penny that has no letter under the date like all other pennys. I dont know to much about pennies but dont they ussually have a D or an S or some letter like that under the date of the penny? My friend was telling me about a million dollar penny like this one that has no "lettering" or whatever you call it under the date. Thank you for your time and response!

Answer
Hello, Zachery, sorry, but the 1941 cent with no mint mark is quite common and thus has no real numismatic value.  Ever since the U.S. mint started making cents, the one made at Philadelphia have had no mint mark.  That's still true even today -- you should be able to find 2006, 2005, etc. cents in circulation with no mint mark below the date (you'll see the "D" mint mark for cents made in Denver.  Hope this helped, Jim Lawniczak
