Expert: Joe Hylas - 5/14/2007

I recently received a collection of coins/bills from a deceased grandfather. Some of the old bills fairly interesting, and I was wondering if you had any insight regarding them. Here are a few:

1) Two 1899 US "One silver dollar" Silver certificates dimensions = (3x7.25") serial numbers = N47036627A and K77929564K

2) 1917 US one dollar bill. It has a red stamp and a red serial number of N49837346A. dimensions = (3x7.25")

3) 1917 US two dollar bill. It has a red stamp and a red serial number of D86297166A. dimensions = (3x7.25")

4) 1923 US one dollar silver certificate - serial number "M39720192D"

5) A 1920 Azerbaijan bill (I think). However, it says in the middle "CINQ CENTS ROUBLES." One the left and right it says "500 PYBAEN" (in russian). However, on a number of locations there appears to also be arabic or indian writing. On the back it says "republique d' Azerbaidjan."
The number on teh back corners is 0550.

Hi Nick,
The Russina bill is worthless.  The US Bills' values depend on the condition.  They newer, the more valuable.  They are all worth more than face value but without seeing them, I can not give you a value.
Look on eBay for similar items.
