Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Old pennies...

Question
Hi,
I have saved my old coins since childhood, about 30 years worth. Most are wheat pennies and I think the oldest one I may have is 1917, if I am reading it correctly. Do any of these wheat pennies hold value or are they just face value? I am just curious, never thought about getting rid of them. Thank you.

Answer
Hi Mike,

Pick up a copy of the Guidebook for US Coins by RS Yeoman

It lists every US coin ever minted and what the retail values are for them.  There are a few wheat cents worth looking for.
You won't get rich, but it is good to know what you have.
They are all worth more than face value.
