Question
I am 58 and have a penney collection that my Grandmother passed down to me. The collection is from 1909 thru 1958. I am missing The 1909 svdb, 1931d, and 1943d. All of which are in vey good shape. Is there a ball park figure on the value of this collection?

Answer
Hi Jack,
I really would have to see the coins as each one has to be graded.  But the 1909-S VDB is a key issue and since it is missing, the collection will not bring a lot of money.
The other key dates are 1909-S, 1914-D, 1922 and 1931-S, as well as the 1955 Double Die.  If all of these are there, a safe guess is that the collection si worth anywhere from $500 and up.
If you would like a firm offer, you can contact me at 800-474-6960 and I will give you shipping instructions.  This way I can review the collection and make a fair evaluation.
