Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Polish Coin dated 1756

QuestionHi I have a brownish color Polish coin (bronze?) which is mounted in an
intricate broach, and was wondering value and background of the coin.
The face of the coin carries the face of a "plump" man looking right-with a
crown on his head with a little cross atop the crown. Definitely a religious or
royal figure.
Around the outside of the face of the coin, the following letters are
apparent...
DGAUGUSTUSIIIREXPOLONIAKUM
On the backside is a prominent circular coat of arms in the middle divided
into 4 quadrants. Looks to be the same lion or horse and rider (repeated) in
the 1st and 3rd quadrants of the coat of arms, and an eagle facing forward
with wings spread (repeated) in the 2nd and 4th quadrants. On top of the
coat of arms is a crown. Around the outer edge of the backside around the
coat of arms appear to be the letters SACROMIMPARCPIMETELECT1756.
In both cases where I've cited letters, I may be off on a couple of the letters as
they are difficult to read even with my magnifying glass.

AnswerHi Jim, It seems to be a coin of King August III (1733-63) of Poland. The legends read 'Arch-chancellor and Elector of the Holy Roman Empire' and 'August III by the grace of God King of Poland'.
Collector value of a coin depends on date, mint mark (if any), number minted and condition of a coin, including amount of wear, any dents, scratches or cleaning as well as collector demand for it.
What size is the coin? If you have pictures (not too big) you can email them to me at tbirde@psknet.com.
