Answer
Hi Candi,

Thank you for your question.

You have one of the 1999 quarters from the U.S. 50 State Quarters program.  This is an ongoing program -- currently about 3/5 of the way done -- where each state picks its own design for its quarter.  These quarters are released state-by-state in the same order that the states joined the Union.

Georgia was the 4th state to join the Union, and thus the 4th quarter in the program  It's quarter was released in mid-1999.  The Georgia design prominently features the peach - a symbol long associated with the state.  There were almost a billion of these Georgia quarters minted, so they don't currently have any significant value over 25 cents.

More information about the 50 State Quarters program can be found on the following web pages :

Expertise

My strong familiarity with all U.S. Mint coins, extensive reference library, and close relationships with many other dealers allows me to identify just about any coin made in the USA. I receive regular updates to all the current price guides -- both wholesale & retail -- to provide accurate values. So, with a good description or pictures, I should be able to identify and value any U.S. coin you have.

Experience

I've been a coin dealer since the 1980's and a coin collector since the 1960's. I specialize in U.S. Silver Coins and have an active online website -- The Working Man's Rare Coins -- http://www.workingmancoins.com -- offering information and inventory in U.S. coins.
