Coin and Paper Money Collecting/REGUARDING A PENNIE

Question
I HAVE A PENNIE DATED 1959 ( D ), INCASED IN PLASTIC, BUT IT DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE COPPER.  IT LOOKS LIKE SILVER.  CAN YOU HELP ME TO FIND INFORMATION ABOUT IT ?

Answer
Sorry, Rhonda, can't really picture this.  I don't know of any silver looking cent that was encased in plastic.  Could be a homemade job.  Try going to www.ebay.com and doing searches like: "encased plastic cent" "encased silver cent" "encased coin" and other variations and see what comes up and compare to what you have.  You may also try the same thing on www.google.com, although there you'll get a ton of dealer websites.

Hope this helped, Jim Lawniczak
