Question
I came across a 2000-D Dime that is all copper.  Is it a screw up?  And is it worth anything?  

Answer
It may either be chemically treated that may make it appear to be missing the outer copper-nickel cladding over the copper core.  Or it may genuinely be missing the cladding. A complete dime would weigh 2.27 grams, more than one missing its outer layer. You might check on Ebay for values of similar pieces missing the cladding. Here's one:
