According to the Memphis Daily News some of these coins are going for $500 or more each. You may want to double check before running to eBay.

PERSON ASKING QUESTION HAS MORE KNOWLEDGE ON THIS SUBJECT THAN THE "SELF-PROCLAIMED -EXPERT" .

Neil Berman's Answer is NOT Correct

They were issued and sold by the US Post Office.

At least some, the American Revolution issue of 1972 for example was produced by the Philadelphia Mint.

They are Part of the POSTIQUE series a US Post Office Trademark.
