I know this post is over three years old, but I have a penny with the exact same errors, this may very well be an unidentified doulble die.

Hi, Shawn

I just found a 1988-D lincoln cent that has a double die on the date. I have a book that shows me what the coin looks like. It is  ( The Authoritative Reference on Lincoln cents)

By John Wexler and Kevin Flynn. It is all about double dies , and Rpms. Rpms is repunched mintmarks.

Expertise

My strong familiarity with all U.S. Mint coins, extensive reference library, and close relationships with many other dealers allows me to identify just about any coin made in the USA. I receive regular updates to all the current price guides -- both wholesale & retail -- to provide accurate values. So, with a good description or pictures, I should be able to identify and value any U.S. coin you have.
