Question
I have a two headed nickel and i was wondering if it was fake of if had a value.

Answer
Well, Robert, the most likely explanation for your two headed nickel is that someone put two nickels together.  Magicians create such pieces a lot (helps with some tricks).  Look on the edge, you might see a seam where the two nickels were put together.  That's not the only explanation, but pieces with two heads made at the mint are very rare.  It was once thought, I think, impossible, but I think they have come across a couple (no nickels that I can remember) that some experts thought were genuine.  If you can't see a seam, you might try showing your piece to an expert (local coin dealer or at a coin show).  Try going to www.ebay.com or www.google.com and doing a search like "two headed nickel" and see what's for sale on ebay and what comes up on google.  Hope this helped, Jim Lawniczak
