Look at the serial number. There are 12 Reserve Banks. If the first letter in the serial number is A Boston, B New York, C Philadelphia, D Cleveland, E Richmond, F Atlanta, G Chicago, H Saint Louis, I Minneapolis, J Kansas City, K Dallas and L San Francisco.
