Question
i have a lucky penny from 1947 with a pic of georgivs VI on the back can you tell me if its worth anything and also is there somone here i could ask about ancient roman greek coins i found, one is solid gold i think? thnaks

Answer
Sounds like an English penny (or some British Commonwealth penny).  You may be able to tell for sure by going to www.ebay.com or www.google.com and doing a search for your item -- using words like 1947 and georgivs (or georgius) until you find someone selling a match for your piece.  You might try the same thing for your ancient coin.  Hope that helps, Jim Lawniczak
