Question -
hi, i have a nickel that has a bad print on one side . is there a place online where i can
send pictures to get some answers on this coin?  thanks, sean canavan

Answer -
Hello, Sean, actually, I think the answer to your question is probably no, although there may be one I don't know about.  I know that Coin World (a weekly coin newspaper) was accepting mailed in submissions a while back, but don't know if they are still doing that or if you can send a picture by email.  Try going to their website (I don't know offhand what it is but if you go to www.google.com and do a search for "Coin World" I'm sure it'll come up in the top couple returns.

I'm not sure what you mean by bad print, but maybe you just have a weakly struck coin (sometimes a coin is not completely struck).  Hope this helped a bit, Jim Lawniczak

Answer
Hello, Sean, sorry I was out until yesterday, and then I thought I'd answered the question, but must not have pushed the second send, so it didn't go.  Saw it when I got back to another question today.

Actually, it wouldn't make any sense to send it to me as I am not even close to an expert on error coins (lucky pennies and general coins are my fields).  I couldn't really tell.  Your best bet is to find a coin show or coin dealer to show it to in person, or failing that, maybe coin world.  To see where coin shows and coin dealers are in your area, go to www.google.com and do an appropriate search.  You'll find quite a few.  Sorry, Jim
