Coin and Paper Money Collecting/odd wheat penny

hi, ive been saving whatever wheat pennies that i come across and today i was going through them and i found a 1950 wheat pennie, and it appears to be missing the "1" in the "1950" it just says 950. its alittle beat up. have you ever heard of this error on that particular mint? any info would be greatly appriciated.

Hi Chris,
Yes, I have heard of these and seen them.  Sometimes the dies become filled with grease and as a result certain details do not get struck.  That is probably the case with your coin.  However, check eBay for similar items and to get a value.
