Question
Dear Joe, I have come into a very old penny collection.  2 flying eagles 1857 & 1858. lots of copper nickle 1859-1909 Indian head and 2 incomplete sheets of Lincoln head 1909-1937.  I'd like to offer it for sale but have no idea how to value them.  I found you on the internet.  Can you help me get a value?

Answer
Hi Anne,
You have to look at each coin individually and assign a value to it.
You can get a copy of Coin Values Magaizine or something similar to get an idea of the retail prices.  Then you have some idea of the value.
If listing on eBay, bear in mind that the prices printed are retail.  I would start the auction at 50% of that amount.
Good Luck
