Question
I have a 1950 $l00.00 bill, $50.00 bill, $20.00 bill and a $5.00 bill.  Together as a group would these be worth anything?   Also I have a l934 $10.00 bill.  I have no wish to sell or get rid of them now, but only want to know if they would be worth anything in the future for my daughter?

Answer
Debbie,

The 1950 notes are not considered rare.  Choice crisp uncirculated notes with no problems are worth a couple dollars over face value each -- regardless of denomination.  Anything less condition-wise will have no added value.

The 1934 note is worth about $12 in circulated condition and about $25.00 for a choice crisp uncirculated note with no problems.

None of these notes are rare, so future growth in value will be minimal.

Expertise

My strong familiarity with all U.S. Mint coins, extensive reference library, and close relationships with many other dealers allows me to identify just about any coin made in the USA. I receive regular updates to all the current price guides -- both wholesale & retail -- to provide accurate values. So, with a good description or pictures, I should be able to identify and value any U.S. coin you have.

Experience

I've been a coin dealer since the 1980's and a coin collector since the 1960's. I specialize in U.S. Silver Coins and have an active online website -- The Working Man's Rare Coins -- http://www.workingmancoins.com -- offering information and inventory in U.S. coins.
