Question
QUESTION: i have a 1922 american quarter--any value?  thanx
ANSWER: Hi Annie,
You must be mistaken.  There were no quarters minted in 1922.  Maybe the date is worn so badly that it is hard to see.  If you double check the coin, let me know what you see and I will certainly try to help you.

QUESTION: yes, you're exactly right.  the date after getting a powerful magnifying glass & some cleaning is actually 1923--probably not worth much, very worn.  i also have several more of these type nickels & many silver dollars from the 1880's through 1922--would you advise taking them to my local coin shop for appraisal?  i did some preliminary research on the internet (ebay, coin sites, etc.) & find it very confusing--condition, where minted, relief, etc., etc.)  i know nothing about coins but these were in my parent's estate so would like to liquidate them or perhaps hold on to them if they appreciate well.  thanx so much.

Answer
Hi Annie,
When the coins are used, they have little collector value unless of course they are a particluar date that is in demand.  From what you tell me , that is not the case.
If you want to liquidate them, I can save you some time.  Mail the insured to me at
Omega PM

I will review them and send you a check.
