Coin and Paper Money Collecting/quarters

Question
I have 2 quarters that are missing layers on the tails side before they were struck. One is a 2003-P Arkansas, this one has very little wear. The other is a 1970-D, this one has quite a bit of wear on it. I also have a 1993 penny that i think is a copper penny. The color is yellowish and it is very light. I was wondering if you could tell me what the price range would be for these coins ? Thanks.

Answer
Christy,

The 2003P Arkansas is worth $100-$200 in circulated condition.

The 1970-D is much less popular -- worth about $10-$20

The 1993 penny has been baked (at 700 degrees or higher) to cause that chemical reaction giving it the yellow color -- no collector value.  Have it weighed -- if significantly less than 2.5 grams, let me know.

Expertise

My strong familiarity with all U.S. Mint coins, extensive reference library, and close relationships with many other dealers allows me to identify just about any coin made in the USA. I receive regular updates to all the current price guides -- both wholesale & retail -- to provide accurate values. So, with a good description or pictures, I should be able to identify and value any U.S. coin you have.
