Coin and Paper Money Collecting/a question about a silver certificate

Question
Hi, I'm hoping you can help me out. I don't have a question about a coin but a silver certificate and am looking for an approximate value for it. It says United States one silver dollar and has a picture of (someone told me) Martha Washington on the left hand side. I'm guessing the year is 1891 since it says series 1891 at the bottom of the bill. There is a light brown stain on the lower left side and you can tell the bill was used but everything is very legible and in one piece. Thank you for any help you can give me.

Answer
You have an 1891 one dollar silver certificate. If it is signed Rosecrans/Nebeker it is an Friedberg #222. If it is signed Tillman/Morgan, a F223. Yours sounds like a Very Good, so it is worth between $30 and $200 depending on exact condition, and are very popular with collectors. If you plan to sell it, send it to Lyn Knight in Kansas for auction.
