Question
I HAVE THIS COIN FOR A LONG TIME THE REASON I AM ASKING THIS SOME ONE CUT IT IN HALF AND ITS HOLLOW, I ASK MANY COLLECTORS THE NEVER SEEN ON OR HEARD OF IT,,MAYBE YOU KNOW?? REGARDS, LOUIS ZEGLEN,.

Answer
Hello, Louis, without looking at the piece, I can't be sure.  But sounds like someone after your nickel was minted cut it in half and hollowed it out.  Little boys (and sometimes men and girls) like to experiment and try out things and coins (especially pennies and nickels) are cheap and easy things to experiment with.  That's what it sounds like anyway, Jim Lawniczak
