Answer
Hi William,
Putting the coins up for auction would require inventorying them and accurately grading and describing them.  This is very time consuming especially for someone with minimal knowledge.  I don't know where youa re located but I have poeple ship me collections that I appraise and make an offer on, as 1 lot.
This alleviates the need to do all the work on your part and eliminates having some less desirable coins left over.
If you are geographically close to me, I'm on Long Island, NY, we could meet and I would do this work for you as well as make an offer.  If you are not close, You can box up the collection and ship it via registered US Mail to me.  Once I receive it and raveiew and value it, I would contact you with the offer.  I have bout many, many collections this way.  As a matter of fact, only one of my offers was ever refused!
You can contact me directly at JoeHylas@aol.com and I will supply all the necessary info you need to move ahead.
