Question
Hi Joe, if you had a large collection of silver eagles and 90% coinage and you wanted to sell, who would you sell to, and how would you know if you were getting the best possible price?
thanks,
RSK

Answer
Hi Rick,
Persoanlly, being in the business, I would sell to myself, but that isn't very objective is it?
Currently, dealers are paying about 8-8.25 times the face value for 90% silver coins, depending upon the market.
Silver eagles are a little tougher.  Premiums have dropped somewhat.  iF the coins are apotted or damaged in anyway, expect below spot silver for these since no collector wants them when for $1 or $2 more they can have gem coins.  Email me a list of what you have to OMEGAPM@aol.com and I will work up a number for you, based upon inspection of teh eagles and market fluctuations.
I buy a lot of collections becuase I am fair.  No one begrudges someone making a profit, as long as it's a fair #.
Let me know what you have and we'll see what we come up with.
