Question
I have 2 boxes which makes 14 coins all together of the prestige 100th statue of liberty anniversary coins. 2 half dollars,1 penny,1nickel,1dime,1 quarter and 1 dollar piece in each box.  They are encased in a grey suede book type thing and each came in a blue box as well. OH! the year...well as you probably know is 1986..it's the United States 1986 Prestige Set...the silver dollar sais Ellis Island.  What are these worth? I have been told to hold on to them because they have potential and have been offered between 17 and 30 dollars for each but have seen them selling on ebay for $56 or so...can you help please? thank you..   Cammie

Answer
Hi Cammie,
1986 Prestige sets are quite attractive.  However, they are quite common and do sell in the $20-$30 range.  Will they appreciate, probably.  But how much and how fast is anyone's guess.  As you can see on ebay, there is no shortage of them.
